Throughout the episode, we begin a riveting conversation with Keith Higgins, exploring his rise.
Keith Higgins’ journey is one of inspiration, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the sport.

Beyond his on-field accomplishments, Keith Higgins embodies the spirit of Gaelic football. However, Keith Higgins wasn’t happy with the way Mayo embraced the spirit of Gaelic Football in the opening game of the championship saying: “No, not, I think I suppose. Particularly from where I am from Mayo here, there’s you’re two big rivals in Roscommon and Galway, particularly Roscommon because they’re only kind of a few miles out the road so to lose to your biggest rivals at home in Castlebar is never a good start to any competition. So, I think especially considering this week, the week after the league final, you know, there’s a lot of optimism around nil. Ehm, not a very good league campaign.”

Mr Higgins added: “Look to be playing good football, all decked out a win against Dublin in the league finally and we’re probably going to play as well as we could, but was Kim crashing it back down, worked in quick in that Roscommon game, so it probably left a lot of people wondering where Mayo was at. Ehm, I don’t think that opinion probably didn’t change over the last few weeks, I think obviously a great victory down in Kerry, but Kerry looked were way off on the day. And then considering the last two performances against Louth and Cork, like I said, Mayo people weren’t sure where the team were at. I think a bit of optimism that was there from the league was probably gone you know so ehm yeah, a kind of up and down type of year so far but look Galway in a knockout championship game was only going to be a KG for a lot it ehm and to come out with a one-point win while it wasn’t perfect look he’ll take and you’ll move on. It’s as simple as that.” Whether you’re a die-hard fan or simply curious about the world of Gaelic football, this episode is a must-listen.

Thousands of GAA fans faced travel chaos after a tragic incident shut down a railway line hours before a Croke Park hurling semi-final. Mayo fairly shut down Kerry in their tracks in the first game of the All-Ireland championship group stages and Higgins was full of praise saying: “Yeah it was huge.”

Keith added: “Like I said I suppose coming on the back of that game against Roscommon and I suppose the only thing you were looking for there was probably the performance as much as anything else you know. If Mayo came out that game and had played well but may have lost, you’d be saying it was Kerry down to Killarney. It wouldn’t have been awfully I suppose disappointed with it. But again, the performance was there. The result was there. Ehm was a real boost for Mayo. And I think looking back we have to say there Kerry was way off. Ehm, they didn’t have that bit of championship. They were leggy, and Mayo seemed a lot sharper in their skills. They have moved up fumbled a lot, so it was a huge win from, from that point forward of view. Ehm, but I suppose again. Looking at the loud game coming up after that. I was kind of concerned about May that the performance might have gone we kind of knew Log was going to pack the defence in the tight end.”
